Painting Portraits – Loving Humankind
I love faces. Faces punctuate our lives. Loved faces. Forgotten faces. Lost faces. When we are young, the face of our parents is the sun of our visual experiences. It enlightens everything. It gives meaning, consistency and interest to the things around us. To our environment. Without faces life loses its meaning. Our identities would find themselves softened. We need others and their faces are the crossroads of all magic. The one that uplifts us, the one that listens to us, that advices us, that loves us, unfolds us, flourishes us, delights us. I paint faces because I love humankind. Because I love myself. Because I love you.
